Description
Beautiful intricate “tree” of branching copper crystals. The copper crystals form in very tight seams in basalt, and often the seams are too tight to allow defined crystal development (as you can tell from the last measurement above (!)), however this one is comprised of defined crystals. The colour and lustre of this piece includes some of the bright silvery iridescence characteristic of some of these, and also some red cuprite coating. Very pretty specimen.
