Description
These are razor-sharp, lustrous, dark green atacamite crystals with mirror-bright terminations, on a matrix covered by pale blue chrysocolla. (Field of view in this first photo is 1.5 cm). The crystals are blockier than the acicular atacamite one sees more often – these are great orthorhomic prisms. In very good condition, a number of perfect crystals, some incomplete ones. Nice contrast with the chrysocolla and glossy colourless calcite crystals in association. The free-standing atacamite crystals on this one are particularly fine for the species.
