Description
Gorgeous colourless chabazite crystals to 1.0 cm sit out prominently at the centre of this specimen. Absolutely textbook penetration twinning. The crystals are sharp, glassy and translucent, with striations and beautiful growth patterns. A few have a slight pink tint, but the featured ones at the centre are colourless. Accompanied by stilbite crystals. In excellent condition, no damage other than at the periphery where this group was attached to the rock. This plate is crystallized all around, on the reverse side as well – it was only originally attached at the plate edges. The crystals on the back are excellent as well, but the ones on the front are quite special for their brilliant glassiness and translucence. From the collection of well-known Nova Scotia collector Terry Collett, collected on June 11, 2010. The quality of these chabazite crystals is amazing.
