Description

Detailed Description

This is a gorgeous cabinet specimen featuring groups of ice-blue hemimorphite crystal bundles, in a beautiful arrangement. The radiating hemimorphite crystals are highly lustrous, so the piece sparkles in the cabinet under the lights. In excellent condition – you can find a couple of minor chips and rubs if you seek them out, particularly with magnification, but they’re very small, hard to see among the sparkling crystals as displayed, and otherwise at the edge where the specimen was removed from the surrounding rock. Stands perfectly for display as photographed.

This is great display display specimen of blue hemimorphite – looks great on the cabinet shelf.

About these Specimens

Although Iran has long been known to be a source of spectacular mineral specimens, it has never been easy to procure them. A window opened for a while, and these specimens came out in 2012, from contemporary finds at that time. (They made their debut in Ste Marie in 2013.) Sanctions in various jurisdictions around the world since then have restricted specimen buying, but hopefully this will change so that we’ll be able to see more interesting things from Iran again.
