Detailed Description
Brilliant, glassy light amethyst crystals perched on and among calcite crystals. Some of the calcite crystals have a greenish-greyish hue, providing an aesthetic colour combination with the amethyst. The amethyst crystals are sharp and lustrous, and tranlsucent to transpartent. the highlight of the piece is the largest crystal, a doubly-terminated parallel-growth crystal. In excellent condition, no damage, except one incomplete crystal at the periphery. This specimen has been stabilized, not visible. Beautiful crystals on a unique contrasting background.

About These Amethyst Specimens
These beautiful amethyst specimens are from a new occurrence, discovered in late 2017. They were found by farmers, at the edge of a field area, at the base of bordering hills. There isn’t more specific information about the locality at this time – I’m told that this is because it is in an unnamed remote area of Potosi, not near to any named settlement or named geographic feature. The specimens in this update are the best I’ve seen from the locality to date.
