Detailed Description

This is a very aesthetic quartz specimen. The top crystals cascade down from right to left, over top of the underlying/lower, dark-coloured, crystal. These top crystals are very lightly amethystine – the only darker purple colour is in the underlying dark crystal, visible with backlighting. The top crystals are sharp and have good lustre. In excellent condition – no damage. A particularly nice arrangement of quartz crystals from this small find.

About these Quartz Specimens

These specimens are from a 2018 find at a road construction project, which has now been completed. Most of the specimens were relatively lightly amethystine with sceptred growth over darker core crystals.
