Description
This is unusual material from an unusual find, a rhodochrosite pseudomorph aftrer serandite. The surface of this pseduomorph is comprised of a myriad of tiny brownish-red sparkling rhodochrosite crystals. There is clearly more involved in this pseudomoprh, as can be seen at the one termination, revealing hollowing and other minerals as well. the form of the original serandite has been well perserved, such that even two striations/grooves are still visible as ridges in the rhodochrosite. In excellent condition. This is a truly different specimen, even for Mont Saint-Hilaire (which has come up with all sorts of wonderful and strange occurrences…).
