Description
The two main balls of radiating rich blue cavansite crystals on this piece are set apart like a dumbbell, but in the middle there is a smaller third cluster which is much less compact and almost flower-like. The cavansite cluster itself measures 2.6 x 1.2 x 1.0 cm. Nice contrast with the clean matrix of sparkling crystals of stilbite-Ca.
The cluster is in perfect condition except for the underside of the lowest ball (as photographed), which has a scuff – not noticeable from the optimal display angle. The white spots in the blue of the photographed cluster are reflections.
This is a wonderful unique specimen – tons of character really stands it apart.
