Description

Group of large dioptase crystals up to 2.0 cm, lying flat against a very thin plate of matrix. The largest dark green crystals have some sort or partial inclusion, and second-generation gemmy little dioptase crystals (the bright, colder/more blue colour) are sprinkled about as well. I would say the specimen appears a bit darker in person – the flash makes the green slightly brighter than under normal daylight. In excellent condition – a couple of incomplete spots at the periphery and some minor edge chipping. Nice dioptase miniature!
