Description
A beautiful, elongated, doubly-terminated calcite on salmon-orange chabazite from Wasson’s Bluff. The calcite has a silky sheen with fine intricate surface detail on the crystal faces under magnification. The main chabazite crystal positioned below the calcite is in fact a fine contact-twin. There are other small calcite crystals on the piece but the big one steals the show. In excellent condition – the calcite is pristine and the central chabazites are excellent as well (the chabazites at the periphery are incomplete where they intersected attached crystals. A great colourful display specimen from the Steve Szilard collection.
