Description
Deep red vanadinite crystals on a mound of barite crystals. These vanadinite crystals are as sharp as if they had been cut from glass, and they are as lustrous as vanadinite gets – they look wet. The crystals have some translucence and exhibit internal glow and reflection under good light. In excellent condition! This is a superb vanadinite specimens from the Coud’a Workings at Mibladen.
For more about the Mibladen Mining District, including photos of some of the vanadinite workings, see Morocco: The Northern Sahara and the Atlas Mountains (Part 2). (Note, the big hole depicted in the first photograph in the other half of the article – see Part 1 – is a vanadinite specimen-mining operation at Coud’a.)
