Description

A pair of good-sized amethyst crystals with lots of cristobalite balls. Some cristobalite balls are entirely included, below the amethyst crystal surfaces. However, others are exposed and bisected, being along the joint-contact surfaces with formerly-adjacent amethyst crystals – in these exposed partial balls, once can see microscopic crystalline cristobalite. The amethyst itself has nice rich purple colour. In very good condition, very minor chipping at the terminations and one larger chip on one side, down at the contact. An excellent cristobalite-in-amethyst specimen from the John S.
