Description
This specimen hosts sharp, glassy crystals of adamite that are more than they seem at first glance. The crystals have such good lustre that they look wet. These crystals seem to exhibit a somewhat odd colour for adamite, but upon close inspection it becomes clear as to why this is – they are colour-zoned, with a pink-magenta core and a greenish-yellowish outer zone, as one can clearly see with a loupe. Watermelon adamite? Well, perhaps not quite, but that’s the idea. In excellent condition. From the Tracy Kimmel collection, and formerly Jordi Fabre. This is a wonderful specimen of the lustrous Ojuela adamite!
