A group of colour-zoned, penetration twinned chabazite crystals perched on sugary quartz. The chabazite crystals are sharp, highly lustrous and in excellent condition. Collected in 2018. Stands perfectly for display, great contrast with the quartz background!

About The Chabazites From Wasson’s Bluff

Wasson’s Bluff is world famous for colourful chabazite crystals, ranging in colour from pinks to various hues of orange and all the way to dark red. The chabazites from Wasson’s Bluff have been collected since the mid-19th century, and production of truly fine specimens has been sporadic. Although several of the productive zones have been exhausted as the basalt has eroded away to the underlying sandstone, occasional finds have produced excellent specimens.
