Description
This is a fantastic specimen of the classic “fluorite corner” specimens from Elmwood – an etched fluorite, where the remaining outer corner of the crystal is at the one end, and tapering majority of the piece represents a slice into the central core of the original cube. The surfaces of the crystal are fully crystallized, not cleaved. This specimen has a superb set of original cube faces at the top – sharp and highly lustrous. In excellent condition, a tiny cleave at the right edge – you have to look for it. From the Tracy Kimmel Collection, this is a top calibre “fluorite corner”!
