I’ve posted the first of the new Tucson specimens in this Wodginite Update (click here). These are sharp, lustrous wodginite crystals from a small recent find at the Itatiaia Mine, Conselheiro Pena, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Wodginite is not a common mineral, and it is quite difficult to acquire good crystals. The identification of these ones has been confirmed at the University of Arizona, and, along with subsequent EDS work, it has been established that of the various members of the wodginite group, they are wodginite.
