Detailed Description This specimen is made up of intergrown branches and little trees of copper crystals. The crystals are well defined and some are very sharp – this gives the specimen good sparkled under the lights. Many of the crystals have a multicoloured patina. From the John S. White quartz collection (#14-2-2), this is an excellent chalcedony geode. Fully translucent, with a couple of quartz crystals inside (visible through a hollow in the back/underside). Fluorescent under UV light.  And if I didn’t know better, I’d say this one is sticking its tongue out at us! About John S. White

From the John S. White quartz collection (#14-2-1), this is a chalcedony geode with a few quartz crystals inside like teeth. The whole geode is translucent, and it is fluorescent under UV light (second photo). Very cool.  About John S. White
