A cluster of fantastic stibnite crystals from Baia Sprie. These classic older stibnite crystals are very uncommon for Baia Sprie – they are broad, with steep spear-point terminations. This is textbook form for the best of the older material from Baia Sprie. The crystals are sharp, with lustrous prism faces, and the piece is in […]

These doubly-terminated, parallel-growth arsenopyrite crystals are sharp! Incredibly well-defined, with good lustre and a bit of a patina at the terminations. In excellent condition, with minor muscovite in association. From the Tracy Kimmel collection – specifically her sub-collection of arsenic-bearing minerals – this is a beauty!   About Tracy Kimmel (click here)

This is a rare specimen of slender prismatic cinnabar crystals from California. The cinnabar crystals are unusually elongated, vibrant red prisms – well-defined and lustrous. From the Tracy Kimmel collection, this is an old specimen, with labels from both Larry Conklin and Lazard Cahn.   About Tracy Kimmel (click here)

Beautiful radial fans of sharp lustrous adamite crystals on contrasting dark gossan. The crystals are sharp and glassy, with the classic yellowish-green colour of the finest adamites. In excellent condition – pristine. From the Tracy Kimmel collection, and formerly the John S. White collection (label included). This is a wonderful specimen of the fan-style of […]

From one of the world’s classic localities for top proustite, this is a beautiful red proustite crystal group. The crystals are truly red (no backlighting required to see the red colour), and they are magnificently so when backlit, showing why proustite is known as “ruby silver”. Even though this is an old piece, it has […]

This is a one-of-a-kind specimen, featuring a fully-crystallized amethyst arch, surrounded by balls and mounds of amethyst crystals. The crystals are light purple, sharp and lustrous. In excellent condition, no damage. From the Tracy Kimmel collection, acquired from The Arkenstone. A sculptural  masterpiece.   About Tracy Kimmel (click here)

A gorgeous mass of silver crystals in arsenic. These silver crystals are well-defined and absolutely beautiful with close examination, particularly with magnification. In excellent condition, crystallized all-around. This is a hefty specimen for its size – a lot of metal here! From the Tracy Kimmel collection. Tracy acquired it from Jordi Fabre (labels included) and […]

This is a great trio of fluorite crystals with vibrant green colour. zones The crystals exhibit predominantly cubic forms, combined with octahedral and dodecahedral forms. The backside of each crystal is hollow – the larger crystal at the bottom is very hollow from behind. The crystals are not broken – the surfaces of the back […]

Superb sharp octahedral purple-blue fluorite crystals included inside a doubly-terminated quartz crystal. These are some of the coolest inclusions I’ve ever had (and I’ve had lots). The prism faces of the quartz crystals have a somewhat silky lustre, while some pyramidal faces are silky and some are lustrous. In excellent condition, a chip in the […]

These are lustrous quartz crystals with vibrant red phantoms, and they have a distinctive look under the lights, as if the edges of the triangular faces are highlighted. This is because the red phantoms are quite close under the crystals’ outer surfaces, and the outer colourless layer of each crystal is quite thin – when […]

As glassy and gemmy as fluorite gets, this gorgeous crystal is from a famous small pocket found at the Gibraltar Mine in 1985. The crystal is twinned – it has been described as a spinel-law twin, but it’s actually a penetration twin. This fluorite crystal is so sharp and lustrous and it is transparent, with […]
