Description

A sharp, blocky crystal of aegirine on crystallized microcline. This aegirine (3.6 cm) has lustrous prism faces and the termination appears matte – with magnification, one can see that it is comprised of a myriad of faces, as if the crystal is almost fibrous at that end (it’s not, but there are minute hollows). In excellent condition – displays nicely, supported from behind as photographed.
