Description

This is a sharp cuboctahedral alabandite crystal. This specimen is in excellent condition, there is no damage. The growth of the underside was interrupted by other minerals that were present, and, as is the case with most of these, there is some minor pitting where other minerals interrupted growth and/or minor etching occurred during formation. All of these are natural features. This is a well-defined crystal of this unusual species – a great specimen!
