Description
This is one of two analcime specimens in this update of this kind. Occasionally we see analcime crystals from Five Islands that are sharp, sparkly and gemmy, to the extent that some people have likened them to pale-coloured grossular from the Jeffrey Quarry (Asbestos, Quebec). Of course they are the same trapezohedral crystal form. This one, collected in 2009, is one of those pieces – the analcime crystals are glassy and bright under the lights, just beautiful.
In excellent condition – no damage except some missing crystals on the outer periphery. This is a great cabinet piece – pretty pink analcime crystals with lots of sparkle on in the display case.
