Detailed Description
In the front of this beautiful piece, a group of parallel ankerite crystals features prominently. These ankerite crystals are sharp with good lustre. Across the top, stands a little forest of clear quartz crystals with ankerite and pyrite crystals perched on them. In excellent condition. Stands perfectly for display as photographed. A particularly aesthetic, balanced specimen.
About These Specimens from the Mésage Mine
The Mésage Mine was originally explored in the early-nineteenth century for iron, and the underground workings have been abandoned since the late-nineteenth century. French collector Grégoire de Bodinat recently collected these beautiful specimens at the Mésage Mine.
