Description

This sweet specimen has a small group of atacamite crystals nestled in a vug of sparkling quartz crystals. The dark green atacamite crystals are very sharp and highly lustrous, with sharp terminations. The quartz crystals have an aqua-blue appearance due to the presence of blue chrysocolla. The atacamite crystals in the vug are in pristine condition – one crystal is missing and one can see where it was (the base of that crystal is flush with the rest). A beautiful, aesthetic specimen of atacamite – a mineral difficult to acquire as free-standing crystals like these.
