Description
This is a remarkable specimen – wheat-sheaf aggregates of azurite crystals have mostly been replaced by malachite, while beautful deep blue azurite crystals also remain. Super form and colour, with sharp crystal definition. In excellent condition – some incomplete areas and contacts around the edges (including at upper left) where this was attached to adjoining rock. A couple of spots where the malachite is missing reveal the internal azurite to add to the aesthetics with extra blue amidst the dark green. Stands perfectly for display.
A great piece – I’ve not seen another like it.
