Description
A wonderful complex crystal of beryl (var. aquamarine) with a quartz crystal and albite crystals on a bed of muscovite crystals. The aquamarine crystal is a delicate very light blue colour and has beautiful modification faces. The top of the quartz crystal is water clear. This is a figured specimen, photographed in Rocks & Minerals v. 74 #5, p.318, 1999. The specimen has been trimmed with a saw at the base so it stands perfectly for display as photographed. In excellent condition, no damage to the aquamarine, chipping on the quartz at the back of the termination, not obvious from the main display angle. An aesthetic grouping of the four well-crystallized minerals with the gorgeous beryl the highlight.
