Description

Detailed Description

This specimen features two cyclic twins of cerussite (along with many smaller cerussites) on beautiful salmon-coloured bladed barite crystals. In fact this piece also hosts minor galena, small saddle-shaped calcite crystals and small elongated crystals of what I believe are aragonite (a couple of radiating sprays at the backof the piece, best seen with magnification). The cerussite crystals are complete all-around, and their lustre is moderate. In excellent condition! This specimen displays best with a bit of support from behind to stand it as photographed. The colour of these delicate barite rosettes really makes the piece.
