Description
This is a great display specimen of Wasson’s Bluff chabazite. It is unusual in that most display specimens of this material are thin crystal plates, and this one is not at all – it is comprised of a substantial mass of chabazite that holds it standing up perfectly for display, as photographed. The most prominent crystals are penetration twins. The chabazite crystals are sharp, with good mid-orange colour, and good lustre. In excellent condition, no damage or incomplete crystals other than around the periphery where this was attached to the pocket surroundings.
A nice colourful piece in the display cabinet.
