Detailed Description
Sharp, lustrous orange chabazite crystals on sharp, pearly heulandite crystals. In excellent condition, no damage (the one corner of the largest chabazite is fully crystallized, where it contacted heulandite). Great contrast – a really nice piece!

About The Chabazites From Wasson’s Bluff
Wasson’s Bluff is world famous for colourful chabazite crystals, ranging in colour from pinks to various hues of orange and all the way to dark red. The chabazites from Wasson’s Bluff have been collected since the mid-19th century, and production of truly fine specimens has been sporadic. Although several of the productive zones have been exhausted as the basalt has eroded away to the underlying sandstone, occasional finds have produced excellent specimens.
Please Note: the colour representation in the still photographs has been carefully calibrated and adjusted to approximate an accurate rendition of this specimen in daylight (shade). The colours in the video are not similarly adjusted.
