Description

This is a great piece – the chalcopyrite crystals are accented by sharp transparent quartz crystals, making a beautiful combination. The chalcopyrite crystals have a dark, metallic sheen. There are several other minerals present – sphalerite, galena, and what I believe is tetrahedrite. The tetrahedrite is interesting – a chip at a back edge of the main chalcopyrite crystal suggests that there is at least one significant inclusion of tetrahedrite within this chalcopyrite. In excellent condition, that one chip and a couple of incomplete very small quartz crystals, otherwise no damage.
