Copper

Specimen # 100034
Mineral: Copper
Location: Bennet Brook (Colonial Copper Mine), Cap D'Or, Cumberland Co., Nova Scotia, Canada
Size: 7.2 x 4.7 x 0.2 cm

Description

This is a special specimen – for my taste, one of the most aesthetic specimens of this type I have seen from this locality. Sharply crystallized, this arrangement of copper crystals has some coppery colour, lots of bright silvery iridescence and a little coating of cuprite-red at the lower left. The two main spear-shaped crystals to the lower right of the tallest spire are razor sharp and just brilliant. A wonderful Canadian copper!
