Description

Beautiful cluster of good-sized dioptase crystals – they are translucent with gorgeous deep green colour. There are some great phantom zones in crystals on this piece, visible with a loupe. Microcrystalline quartz coatings are visible in a few places on the piece. In very good condition, there is minor chipping is visible with magnification (and there are some incomplete crystals around the periphery where the specimen was removed from the surrounding rock.) In the cabinet under the lights, the rich dark colour and the aesthetic arrangement of the crystals really stand out. Great dioptase!
