Description

A vug lined with calcite crystals hosts a beautiful deep green dioptase. The dioptase crystal measures 1.7 cm in length – it is sharp and brilliantly lustrous, and it has a nice internal play of light, to help show off its amazing colour.  There are a couple of parallel growth crystals around back and side of the top termination – all of these dioptase crystals are pristine. This is a great specimen for the overall form with the vug in the middle, the contrast of of the dioptase and the calcite, and the quality of the dioptase. Really striking piece.
