This is a striking piece with a spire of crystals over the rest. The erythtrite crystals are sharp with top colour and lustre. Interesting to note, the lighter coloured erythrite at the core of the spire seems to me to include crystallized faces and etch features. In excellent condition, minor rubs – really a great quality erythrite. Stands/sits for display as photographed, on a higher shelf you might want to support if from behind, easy to display either way. A beautiful and dramatic eyrthrite.

Erythrite crystals from Bou Azzer are generally regarded as the finest in the world. The challenge with erythrite, however, is to obtain fine-quality specimens – the mineral is so soft and delicate that most specimens are damaged in the removal process or subsequent transportation. The erythrites in this lot are superb quality specimens of this beautiful mineral.
