Description
A beautiful deep purple fluorite from the Denton Mine. It’s a gorgeous composite set of cube faces forming a very flat/thin crystal that has recrystallization faces all around the back. This would have detached from fluorite at the rear, sometime prior to the end of the time when the fluorite was still crystallizing. Thanks to the fact it is thin, the light passes through from behind to show the intense colour well. There is a protruding fluorite crystal that I believe to be a penetration twin – visually the angle looks right and it does penetrate through the larger thin crystal and come out the other side. In excellent condition, a few tiny chips. This is a really nice violet fluorite from Denton!
