Description

A sharp galena from the Picher Field, this piece is from the Bob Whitmore collection, via Rob Lavinsky, to my personal collection. Octahedral galena crystals were from older workings and are considered relatively less common from the Tri-State District localities. This crystal is well-formed with a few very cool growth hollows in places. In excellent condition and sits perfectly for display. A wonderful old American classic.
