Description
This specimen features an extracted seam of gmelinite, one part open with crystals, and part of the seam that has no opening, just contacts with the basalt in which it formed. This illustrates very well the nature of the occurrence of gmelinite in very narrow seams at Two Islands. The pink gmelinite crystals are sharp and well formed, up to 1.5 cm. Some are twinned. In very good condition, a couple of incomplete crystals. A nice cabinet specimen of gmelinite.
