Description
This is a super aesthetic pairing of ilvaite and quartz. The tall quartz crystal group is a complex form with many sharp, lustrous, stepped terminations. The ilvaite is well formed with a sharp top termination and sharp prism faces, while the bottom termination is naturally complete but indistinct. The top termination and the prism faces have good lustre, and are sprinkled with sparkling second-generation quartz crystals. With magnification one can also see some of these second-generation quartz crystals sparkling in among the crystals comprising the taller quartz group. In excellent condition, a couple of small chips, not relevant as displayed. This is a very classy display specimen.
