Olivenite

Specimen # 103105
Mineral: Olivenite
Location: Cornwall, England
Size: 5.0 x 3.0 x 2.8 cm

Description

A true old Cornwall classic, this is a specimen made up entirely of sharp, lustrous olivenite crystals. The crystals (up to o.5 cm) are elongated, with curved faces and chisel-tip terminations. In very good condition, a few small crystals and areas are incomplete.

From the Tracy Kimmel Collection (it also has two labels from older collections) – this piece was in Tracy’s excellent suite of arsenates. She had acquired it from Jordi Fabre. A fine old English olivenite!
