Description
A beautiful group of blue prehnite crystals, terminated all around. The specimen is a floater (no point of attachment). The crystals are well-defined with good lustre on many faces. In exceptional condition, one tiny chip on one crystal edge. There is actually a small incomplete fragment of tanzanite embedded in one lower crystal edge. From the John S. White collection, an excellent blue prehnite!
The hue of this specimen changes dramatically under different light sources. Under halogen it is a cold, light blue (as in the fourth photo), and under LED and daylight, it has more depth of colour and more warmth.
