Description
An elongated stalactite-like cluster of bi-coloured lustrous pyromorphites from one of the world’s best localities for the mineral. The crystals are sharp, very well-formed, with some curvature. Although the main body of each crystal is a dark green with brownish and mustard hues, the terminations are all overgrown with light-green-yellow pyromorphite, some of which are quite complex in form. In excellent condition – a couple of incomplete crystals. This specimen is from the Tracy Kimmel Collection, and was formerly in the Gerald Clark collection. It looks great displayed in a number of orientations. I prefer the orientation in the first photo, because the group of crystals at the left is wonderful, and if placed at the bottom for vertical display, one doesn’t see them as prominently. A beautiful, dramatic French pyromorphite!
