This specimen hosts some of the nicest colour amethyst I’ve seen from this find, contrasting with the acommpanying small white calcite crystals. The amethyst crystals are sharp, glassy and lustrous. There are two beautiful reverse sceptres on this one. In excellent condition, no damage. Very nice!

About These Amethyst Specimens

These beautiful amethyst specimens are from a new occurrence, discovered in late 2017. They were found by farmers, at the edge of a field area, at the base of bordering hills. There isn’t more specific information about the locality at this time – I’m told that this is because it is in an unnamed remote area of Potosi, not near to any named settlement or named geographic feature. The specimens in this update are the best I’ve seen from the locality to date.
