This is a gorgeous thin cut and polished slice of an amethyst crystal overgrown by a thick layer of small amethyst crystals. As you rotate the slice with light behind, the colours and hues shift – it’s almost kaleidoscopic. The crystal shows sharp sectoral zoning and includes citrine at its core.
