A gorgeous quartz crystal with “hourglass” amethyst zoning. This crystal is doubly-terminated, sharp and in excellent condition – no damage. The crystals at this find grew against a sugary matrix from which they separate easily, so the back sides of the crystals from Bou Oudi are flattened and with a different interrupted growth texture. This is a super one from the John S. White quartz collection.
