Description
A gorgeous crystal of smoky quartz rises over this specimen from the John S. White quartz collection. This crystal is sharp, with glossy lustre as bright as it gets. It is water-clear and is reminiscent of a fine Swiss Alpine crystal. However, my favourite feature of this piece is the array of triangular growth features on the largest face of the main crystal – these are wonderful!
The smoky quartz crystals are associated with a microcline crystal with curious skeletal growth.
In excellent condition. Supported to stand as in the first photograph, a beautiful cabinet specimen of smoky quartz with microcline!
