Description

This is a beautiful, water-clear scapolite crystal from Morogoro. The crystal is sharp and lustrous, with great yellow colour. In shortwave ultraviolet, the crystal is an intense deep red (second photo). In excellent condition – from the optimal viewing angle, a chip at the back edge of the termination is not visible, and nor are the couple of small chips at the sides. This is a gorgeous golden gem crystal.
