Description
This is a superb spessartine set in the side of a quartz crystal, and associated with snow-white albite. The 1.7 cm spessartine is deep red with top glassy lustre, and it is pristine. The spessartine crystal is actually subtly parallel growth, and it exhibits a fantastic balance between trapezohedral and dodecahedral faces – this is quite rare for Pakistan. From the Gerald Panneton collection. The contrast is great – this is a fantastic display specimen.
